Spun poly has a matte, textured surface that behaves more like natural fiber — knots set cleanly, hitches hold under load, and the rope gives you feedback through your hands the way good suspension rope should. It runs smooth but grips where it counts.
Some riggers use jute or hemp for suspension, and experienced hands do it well. But natural fiber is unrated — its breaking strength varies, degrades with use, and is never guaranteed. Spun polyester is manufactured to a consistent tensile standard, session after session, with a load capacity that natural fiber simply can't match.
